A reveal has a long middle. People arrive, eat, and then wait for the moment, and the hour in between is where a party either holds together or splits into two conversations in separate rooms. A voting game fills that hour by making each guest commit to a guess out loud and on paper.
It also produces the photograph. A tally with two columns and a room divided down it is the picture people keep from a reveal, more often than the cake. The balloon artwork is the same one used on the gender reveal table covers here, so the game sits on the table without looking borrowed.
On the table
- A guessing game rather than tableware — it fills the hour before the reveal.
- Guests commit to pink or blue before the announcement.
- Artwork matches the gender reveal balloon table covers.
- The finished tally is usually the photograph people keep.
