Fifty-four by one hundred and two inches covers a 6-foot table with about a foot of drop at the sides and fifteen inches at the ends. The print runs all over rather than sitting in a panel in the middle, so the cover still reads as decorated once the plates, the cake and somebody’s elbows are on it.
Iridescent is the finish that does the work here: the sheen shifts between blue, violet and green as people move around the table, which on a mermaid theme is the whole effect. Plastic also beads a spilled drink long enough to be lifted, and a mermaid party involves blue punch sooner or later.
