Metallic gold is why this one is worth buying as a set rather than assembling. Metallic ink does not match between suppliers: a gold plate from one pack and a gold napkin from another sit next to each other and argue. Sixteen plates, sixteen napkins and sixteen tumblers printed together do not have that problem.
Sixteen is a living-room count, which is what most of the Baltimore season is — a one o’clock start, food on a counter, people standing. The nine-inch plate is the one-handed size for that, and twenty ounces in the tumbler means fewer trips back to the cooler during a drive.
