Honeycomb tissue is the oldest trick in party decoration and still the most efficient: the package is an inch and a half thick, and what comes out of it stands up in the middle of a table as a solid shape. Just under fourteen inches wide, so it holds the center of a table without crowding the plates around it.
The practical limit is the one honeycomb always has — it does not like being knocked. At a table of small children it belongs in the middle, out of reach of elbows, or it goes on the side table with the presents. Flat storage is the compensation: it folds back down and keeps for the next cat party.
On the table
- Package measures about 13.75 by 11.5 by 1.5 inches.
- Honeycomb tissue: ships flat, opens into a three-dimensional shape.
- Put it mid-table, clear of elbows and reaching hands.
- Folds back flat, so it survives being stored and reused.
