Nine ounces is the party pour: a full glass of juice with a little room at the top, and small enough that a child drinks it instead of abandoning it half full on a windowsill. Twenty-four cups is two each for twelve guests, which is the realistic count rather than the hopeful one.
Paper, and that is the better material for an age group that drops things. A plastic cup splits at the rim and leaves pieces to pick out of a carpet; a paper one dents and stays in one piece. The Treasure Island beverage napkins on this shelf come forty-eight to a pack in the same print.
